On November 22, 2022, Hopeful hosted students from Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC) at Tecnopuc for a special meeting. The highlight of the visit was a dynamic pitch showcasing the Brazilian startup’s work and its mission to prepare individuals and institutions to know what to do before, during, and after disasters.

The presentation covered Hopeful’s main areas of action: from developing contingency plans for governments and companies to creating educational platforms and digital tools grounded in scientific evidence. FDC students were introduced to real-world cases involving Hopeful’s work in Brazil and abroad, such as forecasting the collapse of the healthcare system in 2019 and responding to the Vale dam disaster in Brumadinho.
The visit highlighted the role of innovation and social entrepreneurship in risk and disaster management, paving the way for future collaborations with FDC-trained leaders and managers.
